Year 9 Robotics Assessment

Portfolio

In Robotics we will not be sitting a standard assessment, Instead we will have a portfolio.

This portfolio will include:
  • ​Your what is a robot worksheet
  • ​A screenshot of your light bot progress
  • A screen shot of your code.org progress
  • Photos taken with webcams, of your Ardunio work
  • Maybe the code and pictures of your robotics work.

Achieved

In order to get achieved you have to:
  • Complete at least half of the code.org programming courses.
  • Answer all the questions of "is this a robot?"
  • Take a screenshot of the completed work from code.org and upload it to your one note book.
  • Take notes of 2 Arduino workshops you completed.
  • Copy and paste code for these workshops
  • Copy and paste the code for the autonomous mode for the project.

​We may not have time to do the red items.​

Merit

In order to get merit you have to:
  • Complete the achieved section.
  • Answer all the questions with "is this a robot?" in depth.
  • Complete at least 75% of the code.org programming courses.
  • Take pictures and notes of 3 Arduino workshops you have completed.
  • Copy and paste code from the Arduino workshops into your notebook
  • Complete an autonomous mode that gets the robot to follow a black line autonomously.​

Excellence

In order to get an Excellence you have to:
  • ​Complete Merit and Achieved Section
  • Complete at least 95% of the code.org programming courses.
  • Design your own electronic program based on some of the workshops
  • Copy and paste code from the Arduino workshops into your notebook.
  • Complete an autonomous mode that gets the robot to follow the black line and complete a task.
